Comverge's Remote Terminal Unit enables control of capacitor banks, fault and outage notification, and end device monitoring with two-way communications. This communications diagnostic device can be utilized over virtually any desired communications network, such as cellular, fixed, or broadband. When used in conjunction with Comverge's PowerCAMP™ real-time software, the RTU enables the connection, control, and monitoring of over 30,000 capacitor banks and distribution circuit endpoints.

The Maingate® RTU is a gateway with an optional 4-8-6 for a variety of pole-top applications, including two-way Capacitor Control, real-time fault detection, distribution station monitoring and control, and intelligent device monitoring.
