The LCD display shows messages that are clear and intuitive, making it easy for consumers to manage their energy usage and costs in real-time and wireless communication allows for use anywhere in the home. The PowerPortal IHD has a magnetic backing, a base and a rechargeable battery, so it can be placed on a table, countertop, or even an appliance like a refrigerator. The PowerPortal IHD is truly portable.
The PowerPortal IHD is designed to help the utilities industry meet the need for increased communication with their customer base. The PowerPortal IHD receives real-time electricity consumption data wirelessly from a residential smart meter using the ZigBee® Smart Energy Profile. The PowerPortal IHD allows Utilities to maximize AMI technology and take advantage of the energy conservation and load shifting benefits of Time of Use and Critical Peak Pricing billing structures.
The PowerPortal IHD utilizes the ZigBee Smart Energy Profile which means it is compatible with all other products using the same profile for hassle free integration.
