Comverge's Digital Capacitor Controller™ provides utilities triggered or on-demand access for controlling capacitor banks on their distribution networks. This device is available in one-way and two-way communications models, which communicate via VHF paging. This cost-effective solution offers various functionalities for distribution system management. The DCC is integrated with Comverge's PowerCAMP™ software, enabling linkage with Demand Response components and triggers.

Many state-of-the-art features are built into the Comverge DCC. For example, time delays are incorporated into the unit to delay a "switch on" action issued immediately following a "switch off" command. This safety measure reduces the risk of failures and damages to the bank and can be adjusted remotely depending on the protocol selected.
