Comverge Announces Nora Mead Brownell's Appointment to its Board of Directors

Distinguished Former FERC Commissioner Joins Board of Leading Clean Energy Provider

East Hanover, NJ - January 10, 2007: Comverge, Inc. announced today that Ms. Nora Mead Brownell, an expert in the energy industry and former Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) Commissioner, has joined its Board of Directors.

Prior to this appointment, Commissioner Brownell served a five year term at the FERC, where she championed the development of regional transmission organizations and markets for wholesale power, which now represent the electricity market structure serving two-thirds of the U.S. $10 trillion economy. Prior to serving on the FERC, Ms. Brownell served as a member of the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission from 1997 to 2001, where Ms. Brownell helped to establish the framework for one of the most successful retail electric markets in the country. Ms. Brownell previously served as Acting Executive Director of the Regional Performing Arts Center in Philadelphia, a $200 million arts and economic development initiative, as Senior Vice President of Meridian Bancorp, Inc.'s Corporate Affairs Unit, and as Deputy Executive Assistant to former Pennsylvania Governor Richard Thornburgh. Ms. Brownell is also a former President of the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners. Ms. Brownell ha s served on the Boards of Times Publishing Company, Millennium Bank, Foundation of Architecture, Philadelphia Free Library and Need in Deed.
