Comverge's Frank Magnotti to Head Up PJM Smart Grid Committee

EAST HANOVER, N.J., June 11, 2008  Comverge, Inc. (NASDAQ: COMV), a leading clean capacity provider through demand response and energy efficiency, announced today that Frank Magnotti, President and COO of Comverge’s Alternative Energy Resources Group (AER) has been tapped to head a committee to investigate the requirements and challenges of smart grid and advanced metering infrastructures contemplated in the PJM market.

This committee will focus on data management issues for demand response relating to settlement, baseline calculations, timely access to metering information, standardization and the impact of mass market advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) and demand response.

PJM Interconnection is a regional transmission organization (RTO) that coordinates the movement of wholesale electricity in all or parts of Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia. Acting neutrally and independently, PJM operates the world’s largest competitive wholesale electricity market and ensures the reliability of the largest centrally dispatched grid in the world.

Magnotti has been in the demand response industry for 17 years and is a founder of Comverge. He is also the current chairman of DRAM (Demand Response and Advanced Metering Coalition).
