Case in Point
In an example of true turnkey implementation at a large 210,000 barrel-per-day oil refinery, Comverge identified and integrated 33 critical monitor points throughout the facility, and utilized the refinery's local area network for advanced metering and real-time data capture. This allowed the customer's power reliability technologists to take more utility control, capture significant power savings with no loss of productivity or safety, and more accurately reconcile metering data with supplier charges. Comverge also provided a tailored range of ongoing support services to maximize long-term efficiencies. In addition, the refinery also realized greater earnings potential from the sale of excess electricity to the regional grid – produced at its on-site 160 megawatt cogeneration power plant.
