A busy retail store, located in a shopping center, had Comverge install a DIS to analyze their energy use.
The store’s normal operating hours were from 10AM to 9PM.
When Comverge analyzed the data collected by the DIS, it revealed the store’s lighting and HVAC were running 24 hours a day!
The store’s energy management system was malfunctioning and they were not even aware of it.
