A convenience store chain had Comverge install a DIS in several of their locations to monitor their energy usage.
Comverge reports alerted Comverge Energy Analysts that one store was using substantially much more energy than all the rest.
This important information prompted an investigation, uncovering that the HVAC unit controls had been set with both the heat and A/C on simultaneously.
The HVAC unit controls were corrected and ensuing readings indicated that the store’s energy usage immediately fell in line with other locations. These discoveries save the chain $250 per month, 9% annually on energy costs.
