Marketing Manager (East Hanover, NJ)

Job Summary
As a key member of the Alternative Energy Resources Group, the individual selected for this position will work independently on Energy Efficiency/Conservation Marketing programs directed to Electric Utility customers. Candidate will be responsible for provocative thinking, customer advocacy, demographic research, and translating ideas into actionable marketing plans. This position will report to Director of Retail Marketing.

Responsibilities

• Simplify research into pithy briefs for planning purposes.
• Utilize MapInfo demographic/psychographic marketing databases.
• Translate data analysis to create reports and customer profiles.
• Assess marketing activities and optimize marketing effectiveness.
• Develop innovative thinking to ensure marcom materials are distinctive and relevant.
• Write creative briefs that are innovative and on target.
• Plan marketing activities for multiple electric utility accounts.
• Maintain ongoing marketing activities while optimizing their response rates.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of MS Access and charting software like MS Excel.
• MapInfo demographic expertise a strong plus.
• Ability to communicate professionally.
• Experienced in creating graphical presentations in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Professional appearance.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors degree (B.S. /B.A.) in Marketing or Communications with five years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education or experience. Experience with clean energy initiatives, real-time pricing, demand management preferred and creating graphical presentations in Excel and PowerPoint preferred. Strong knowledge of MS Access and charting software like MS Excel, MapInfo demographic expertise a strong plus and the ability communicate professionally and maintain a professional appearance is required.
