Utilizing its end-to-end energy intelligence software platform, PowerCAMP, combined with its field-proven hardware products, Comverge uses wireless communications to provide energy intelligence solutions, including peak load management, automatic meter reading and grid-management programs to electric utilities and other energy suppliers. Comverge has more than 500 customers and three business models, including a "no-risk" Virtual Peaking Capacity outsource model in which the company assumes all the risk of installing and managing demand side management programs for its customer in exchange for capacity payments.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Account Manager to join our New England Region team.

Job Summary
In this position you will be a significant contributor to the profitable growth of Comverge as a key member of Enerwise team. You will be responsible for maintaining and expanding relationships with your assigned client base. This position reports to the Senior VP of Sales.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively analyzes energy related data in order to support profitable sales and business decisions.
  • Ensures data integrity associated with assigned accounts (i.e. troubleshooting, metering and data problems, investigating late meter reads, provisioning new meters, investigating data gaps, new site set-ups, etc.)
  • Performs analysis of tariff rates and load reduction models.
  • Ensures understanding of concepts that supports analysis and effectively communicates issues to those with a need to know.
  • Supports analysis and effectively communicates issues to those involved.
  • Identifies opportunities to up-sell products and services to grow assigned accounts with a sense of urgency.
  • Meets with assigned accounts (with prior approval) to better understand their needs, identify and drive sales opportunities by introducing products and services in a consultative manner.
  • Solves customer issues and answers questions in a clear and concise manner with minimal need for direction.
  • Works with sales and technical staff to understand our objectives with individual customers and utilizes phone contact to advance those objectives.
  • Handles outbound calls in support of business development activities.
  • Assist in sales script creation, prepares presentation and reports for the delivery to the customer.
  • Produces proposals, letter and contracts from notes provided by the field sales reps.
  • Explains proposal content to customers.
  • Uses written correspondence to resolve customer problems.
  • Assist in creating and implementing outbound mail campaigns.
  • Remains aware of company's competitive landscape and continuously monitors competitors.
  • Plans and organizes time and work activities to optimize overall sales results.
  • Provides timely and accurate reporting of activities through established reporting systems.
  • Maintains information regarding customers in an organized fashion.
  • Balances cost and value to both the company and the customer in managing account relationship.
  • Coordinates with inside sales support, as well as delivery support personnel to ensure all the client's needs are met.
  • Challenges current thinking with new solutions by being innovative, creative and flexible.
  • Operates as an inside extension of the field sales forces by proactively seeking ways to assist assigned sales reps to build and enhance relationships and meet administrative accountabilities.
  • Regularly shares new ideas and concepts with team members and participates in joint activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have a Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education with a minimum of 3 - 4 years experience. Experience performing analysis of tariff rates and load reduction models, growing accounts in both breadth and depth, introducing products and services in a consultative manner, handling outbound calls, presenting to small and large groups of people and adapting presentations to audiences, conducting research, analyzing and drawing conclusions from research results. Should have excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills, word, excel, power point, be a team player and industry experience is a plus.
