Comverge Appoints Industry Veteran to Top Sales and Marketing Position

Chris Camino Joins as EVP of Sales and Chief Marketing Officer as Company Capitalizes On Thriving Market for Intelligent Energy Management Solutions

NORCROSS, GA., June 2, 2010 - Comverge, Inc. (Nasdaq:COMV), the leading provider of Intelligent Energy Management solutions for Residential and Commercial + Industrial customers, today expanded its executive management team with the addition of Chris Camino as executive vice president (EVP) of sales and chief marketing officer (CMO). In his role, Camino will join the company's executive team in driving Comverge's continued growth in delivering the industry's most comprehensive and proven Intelligent Energy Management solutions to residential and commercial & industrial (C+I) customers. He will assume responsibility for all utility and C+I sales nationwide, business development, and corporate and product marketing. Camino joins Comverge following a strong start to 2010 that has resulted in several new utility customer wins and contract extensions, as well as a 120-percent increase in the company's C+I business.

"We are thrilled to be adding an executive of Chris' caliber to our experienced management team at this time of unprecedented growth," said R. Blake Young, president and CEO, Comverge. "His tremendous drive, experience in the energy industry and successful track record running profitable businesses make him an ideal person to help Comverge define the future of the smart grid with comprehensive and proven Intelligent Energy Management solutions."

Camino brings more than 20 years of experience to his role overseeing sales and go-to-market strategies for Comverge's complete, turnkey energy management products, including its Apollo(R) Demand Response Management System (DRMS), innovative hardware and comprehensive services offerings. Camino has spent the past seven years with SAP primarily across its utilities and telecommunications divisions. He joined SAP in 2003 and quickly became one of the company's top executives in North America leading sales for the telecommunications division. As a result of his success, Camino was later promoted to run SAP's utilities division, which he grew significantly in both revenue and customer base. Prior to SAP, Camino held a variety of senior-level sales positions in the technology and medical sales sectors.

"I am joining Comverge at a very exciting time in the company's evolution," said Chris Camino, EVP of sales and CMO, Comverge. "The industry is at an inflection point as it looks to develop solutions that solve the world's energy challenges. Comverge is uniquely positioned to lead this charge with its proven track record of delivering innovative technologies, services, and information management capabilities that address today's complex energy requirements while bridging to the promise of the smart grid. By aligning product marketing with superior sales execution and making the two part of a comprehensive go-to-market strategy, we will significantly impact Comverge's continued growth."

Comverge has had a very successful start to 2010. Over the past several months the company has signed a new agreement with PECO to install 145,000 residential and commercial energy management devices, and extended a long-standing and successful agreement with NV Energy to enable the industry's largest smart grid ready residential program at 155 megawatts (MW). In addition, Comverge secured more than $74 million in future contracted revenues in the PJM Interconnection market as a result of the 2013/2014 Reliability Pricing Model Base Residual Auction. The award extends Comverge's recent growth in the C+I demand response market, following an increase of more than 275 MW under management in the first quarter of 2010.
