Comverge Announces Appointments of Thomas Gutierrez and Larry Hagewood to its Board of Directors
EAST HANOVER, N.J., January 27, 2009 Comverge, Inc. (Nasdaq: COMV), a leading provider of smart grid, demand management and energy efficiency solutions, announced today that Thomas Gutierrez and Larry Hagewood have joined its Board of Directors.
Prior to this appointment, Mr. Gutierrez served as Chief Executive Officer of Invensys Power Systems, a $3 billion multinational business and a world leader in power control and energy storage products, systems and services for industrial applications. Mr. Gutierrez also served as Chief Executive Officer of Xerium Technologies Inc. a multinational company that develops, manufactures and markets technically advanced synthetic textiles. Mr. Gutierrez has extensive international experience in product development, manufacturing, marketing and sales.
Mr. Hagewood previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer of SPL WorldGroup, whose enterprise class software products focused on utility operations. He engineered the sale of SPL WorldGroup to Oracle Corporation and afterwards served as a Senior Vice President and General Manager of Oracle's Utility Global Business Unit. Mr. Hagewood's background includes 30 years of experience in sales, marketing, operations and software product development to the utility industry.
